APRU-SCC Sandbox Overview

E-mail Print PDF

This is a website for APRU-SCC researchers.  It is not the official APRU Site, or even its official SCC entry.  Rather it is a work place where SCC researchers collaborate.   To go to the relevant entries of the official APRU record of its former Climate Mitigation and Adaptation (CMAS) research program click here.

SCC (formerly the AWI-CMAS program) is a research and application program focussing on climate change, and in particular best in class mitigation and adaptation strategies for regional communities attempting to manage their water in the face of the joint stresses of economic growth and climate change.  For more on the research program see Introduction to SCC research.

Active participation in this website is open to all researchers in AWI institutions who have relevant expertise and interests.  If you are interested in joining SCC, or are already a member, please fill out the form using the "create an account" link in the right hand menu bar.  We also welcome membership from government and corporate professionals who wish to collaborate with our work.

The APRU-SCC Wiki is the area of greatest informality in the website giving a full overview of the SCC research and activities as they are developing.  Much of it is open for public view, but it is also especially designed for registered SCC members to freely collaborate without the external intrusion of others.  Privacy in a research collaboration can be very important since at its best, that rare gift - constructive critical feedback - can be achieved only when those who give and receive it can do so without misunderstanding.  In addition, the Wiki allows a collaborative exercise where text can be steadily improved through improving amendments made by any reader.  For this reason some sensitive parts of the Wiki are available only for registered members, and other sections can be restricted in this way on request of members.

We welcome inquiries from anyone who is potentially interested in our work and might like to collaborate.  If you would like to correspond with the SCC program please Contact the APRU-SCC Program.
